DJ, producer and dance coach, based in London.
Dan Seven is a London based DJ, music producer and dance coach, previously performing as SPEECHLIS.
I have spent more than 20 years teaching and performing dance, and the last three behind the decks. Different rooms, same job: read the people in front of me and give them a moment they remember.
[PLACEHOLDER: two short paragraphs in Dan's own words: how dance began for him, and the moment he first got behind the decks]
I trained at The Urdang Academy on a William Luther Scholarship, then worked as a choreographer and performer on projects including The X Factor, MTV, Sadler's Wells and Thriller Live. Teaching took me from Danceworks and City Academy in London to Broadway Dance Center in New York and En Dance in Tokyo.
Music grew alongside the dancing. I produced and played music as SPEECHLIS, including a guest mix on BBC Radio 1Xtra [PLACEHOLDER: confirm the 1Xtra guest mix was as SPEECHLIS]. Now everything lives under one name, Dan Seven.
As a DJ I have played over 70 bookings in three years, from weddings to a London Fashion Week catwalk show for an urban brand, and SonicBoom, my own event, which I DJed and hosted.

Previously performed as SPEECHLIS.
Every crowd is different. The set, or the lesson, is built around the people in front of me.
Nobody is too stiff, too old or too late. The right coaching makes the difference.
My favourite part of the job is seeing people enjoy themselves, and seeing someone I have helped win.

Music. People. Movement. Always.
Daniel Seven is a name I have built since I was young. Dan Seven is the shorter version, and SPEECHLIS is what I performed and produced under before bringing everything together.
